A Lifetime of Projects

Ben Shirley currently works as a Horticulture Specialist for a major park and recreation system in North Carolina. Cultivating, designing and caring for new and historic park spaces has allowed him to pursue his passion of public horticulture and work within a community of like - minded professionals who share a mission to enhance the safety and wellbeing of park patrons and county residents.

In his free time Ben works as a horticulture consultant to landscape professionals in North and South Carolina. A lifetime of projects has led Ben to actively pursue his dream of creating a private garden and plant nursery in Lucknow, South Carolina. 

Ben's passion for all things ornamental has led him to grow roses, sculpt living arbor forms, and pursue cold hardy citrus.
